3M Die Bonding Heat Tape

High quality 3M heat activated tape (otherwise known as die bonding tape or die bonding film) is primarily used for securing metal plates (stamps) to hot metal plates. Each roll is 25mm wide and 55m long. It can also be used to stick makeready materials such as heat foam to heated beds.

Product Description

This die bonding film becomes tack when heat is applied – it is not sticky directly off the roll. Apply to the rear surface of the metal die you wish to secure or directly to your heater plate, then induce heat for the tape structure to formulate a bond with your material when you secure with pressure. The film will create a very strong bold for repeated heating cycles. Removal will require heat, some pressure and cleaning processors to remove after use.

This letter is to inform you of a film appearance colour change and a release liner change for the following 3M bonding film products.

3M Die Bonding Heat Tape product construction consists of film and a release liner. The change of the film colour and release liner will not affect the fit, form, or function of the product, and will still meet the specification. Manufacturing lead time will remain the same. The customer will need to determine whether the new colour change and release liner change for the product are suitable for their intended application.

The reasons for changes are as follows:

Appearance colour change is due to the use of a new tackifier (supply disruption of old tackifier).
Release liner change is to help decrease air bubbles during the production process.

This change will be fully implemented beginning with products manufactured on March 1, 2024.

International Delivery Charges

International charges are calculated at checkout based on your Shipping Country location and the weight/volumetric size of the items in your basket.

International Residential Delivery Charge:

Profoil reserves to right to withhold an order and charge an additional fee for international deliveries to residential addresses. This fee is to cover the £5 GBP charge from our International couriers, both FedEx and DHL to deliver to a residential address. We do and have always tried our very best to be competitive on delivery pricing, but this residential charge is now in addition to a €5 EURO “Brexit EU-UK charge” which all the couriers imposed per consignment from goods moving from the UK into the EU since January 2021.

Together, the residential charge addition means this is almost a £10 GBP fee per delivery to us which we simply cannot absorb any further. We have and are currently continuing to absorb the cost of the single “Brexit EU-UK charge” for customers having deliveries to a Non-residential address.

We will continue to review this position and hope someday soon these additional courier charges Profoil is incurring will be removed. We may amend regular customer online accounts to operate the residential £5 additional charge at checkout.

Handling Charge:

We incorporate a handling charge against each order. Handling is charged at 20% cost of the total shipping cost and is incorporated in the Shipping charge displayed at checkout.

Despatch Schedule:

Orders for delivery within the UK and provided we receive your order by 12.00pm, we will aim to have it packed and shipped the same day*. Orders received after 12.00pm, we will aim to have shipped on the next business day. Orders for delivery outside the UK must be received by 10.30am to have it packed and shipped the same day*.

*Excludes orders for dies. See our Die Ordering Guide for more information on delivery, which super-cedes this information. Also excludes orders for machine parts, we will require 1-2 working days from receipt of order for dispatch.

Lost/Damaged Delivery:

You must inform us within two working days from receipt of goods if your goods are lost, damaged or if there is a discrepancy, so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery handler and/or correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence to us.

Legality:

On completion of an order with Profoil, you agree that proof of delivery, supplied by our delivery courier services is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
