Printers blankets are not only used in offset / litho printing; some of the blankets are also suited to foil stamping, especially when you’re foiling over large surface areas. The hard-wearing, consistently flat, yet forgiving “memory-like” surfaces of some blankets are ideal as great makeready materials. Two blankets in particular aid the reduction of pinholing on your foiling (bad spots) and the extra grip of Lablay, the blue print base blanket is ideal when foiling slippery label surfaces.
